Debra Goldsmith

A multi-disciplinary artist based in Castlemaine with over 25 years’ experience in designing and painting murals, trompe l’oeil, sculpture and scenic art for feature films, TV and theatre.

Debra Goldsmith

Based in Dja Dja Wurrung Country (Castlemaine), Debra Goldsmith (she/her) is an experienced multi-disciplinary artist whose practice is shaped by nature, process, and her extensive background in murals and trompe l'oeil.

Goldsmith has built a rich folio inspired by her love of landscape, horses, and flora, honed through years working on-site for feature film, TV and theatre productions, and with clients in their homes and businesses. Her recent work focuses on environmental issues stemming from her lived experience in regional Victoria.

She holds a Diploma of Fine Art. Her public artwork Chandeliers was commissioned for White Night in Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo and Ballarat, and she has been a finalist in numerous art awards including the Maldon Portrait Prize, Paddington Art Prize, and Paul Guest Drawing Prize.

Goldsmith has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia.
