ABOUT

Sue E Armstrong is a Melbourne-based political artist whose practice centres on themes of equality, activism and social change. Deeply rooted in feminism, her early collage works explore visual symbolism of feminism, layering meaning through texture, imagery and form. Armstrong is currently an artist-in-residence at Artlife, Footscray, where her practice expands into the tactile realm, working with clay and textiles to create inclusive, touchable sculptures to invite connection beyond the visual for broader accessibility.
