The two artworks I selected for the exhibition are an etching-print and a digital portrait, one of William S. Burroughs (a notorious American author), and the other depicts a pure-black city-scrapers with jumbled text imprinted around the lower quarter of the piece. I made both pieces while studying for Cert IV of Visual Arts at Polytechnic Preston back in 2024.—Oliver Rousseau Williams

ABOUT

Oliver Rousseau Williams is an artist who experiments across multiple mediums, including collage, digital art, gouache, charcoal, and various other materials. He is currently studying for the Diploma of Visual Arts at Polytechnic Preston, having previously completed his Certificate IV in Visual Arts at Northern College of Arts and Technology.

Rousseau Williams has contributed to several collaborative art projects through volunteer work, including submitting artwork, photography, and writing for Paper Punks zines issue #3 and #4. He is currently involved with the visual novel Relentless, where he contributes both editorial work and promotional art.
