Help us open Second Space
Jump Left is raising $50,000 to open Second Space, a dedicated studio for artists with a disability at Donkey Wheel House in Naarm/Melbourne. Our appeal will soon be live on the Australian Cultural Fund and every donation over $2 is tax deductible.
One room, three jobs
Until now, our gallery has worked as exhibition space, project space and studio all at once. That means setting up and packing down constantly, in public and around live exhibitions. There simply isn't the room, or the privacy, artists need and deserve to flourish.
Our venue partner Donkey Wheel House has offered us a ground-floor space at a generously subsidised rate. Now we need you.

What your donation makes possible
Your gift will support the lease and set-up costs for Second Space: a secure, accessible studio in the heart of the city. It will give artists a place to make work, take risks and develop their practice away from the public gallery floor. A place where new work is made, careers are built and the story of who gets exhibited in this country starts to change.
Momentum behind us
It's been a big year. In August, Member for Melbourne Sarah Witty MP recognised Jump Left's work in Federal Parliament in her constituency statement. ABC News also featured us in a story by Ethan Seiderman, speaking with studio artist Maya Tamang about her solo exhibition I Ain't No Fancy Bird and with Founder/Director Sim Luttin about including neurodivergent and disabled artists in the contemporary art community.
The numbers tell the same story. In 2025–26 we supported more than 100 artists with professional opportunities and 28 artists through our studio, online and residency programs. We delivered more than 35 exhibitions, commissions, workshops and talks, and have welcomed more than 3,150 visitors to the gallery and project space in under two years.
