EXHIBITION LAUNCH | Robert Croft | Cam Michael

  • Jump Left 673 Bourke Street Melbourne, VIC, 3000 Australia (map)

Opening Saturday 9 May 2026, Jump Left is pleased to present two concurrent solo exhibitions by Robert Croft and Cam Michael, the first in its new Artist Solo series.

Bringing together two distinct artistic voices, these exhibitions celebrate the breadth and vitality of contemporary Australian art practice. Working across drawing and glass respectively, both artists share a commitment to deeply personal, instinct-driven making.

Robert Croft, presented with the support of ArtGusto (Geelong), works with texture and colour to create drawings that reflect his intuitive and rhythmic approach to art-making. His works are immediate and expressive, inviting viewers into a visual world that is entirely his own.

Presented alongside Croft is Cam Michael, a multi-disciplinary artist based in Canberra. For his solo exhibition at Jump Left, Michael presents a recent series of glass works — luminous, considered, and quietly powerful — informed by his lived experience as a person with disability and as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Michael has exhibited across Australia and completed a residency at Canberra Glassworks.

Together, these two exhibitions mark an exciting new chapter for Jump Left and its ongoing commitment to supporting artists with diverse practices and lived experiences.

This project is supported by Creative Projects funding from Creative Victoria, Impact Neighbourhoods, ArtGusto and Jump Left.
