Supported Studios are invited to apply for an exhibition at Jump Left’s gallery space in April 2026, supported by Jump Left and Creative Victoria’s Creative Projects Fund.
Who Can Apply
Open to supported studios in Victoria, the exhibition will feature a selection of artists from your studio.
Exhibitions can include works on paper, sculpture and video/digital works. Works on paper can be presented framed, unframed or a mixture of both.
The successful studio will receive dedicated support from Jump Left. We will cover promotion, installation, access and opening costs. Curatorial direction, artwork professional presentation e.g. framing and delivery of work is the responsibility of the studio.
Key Dates
Applications close: 11.59pm Monday 16 February 2026
Artists notified: Friday 20 February 2026
Receipt of work: End March 2026
Exhibition: April 2026
About the Space
Jump Left is an accessible gallery and project space located at Donkey Wheel House in Bourke Street, Naarm (Melbourne). Studios will have access to a professional, welcoming, and supportive environment designed to foster creativity and connection.
What We Provide
Support: Assistance from our experienced Director and team
Installation: Professional installers
Networking: Meet other peers and people from the Jump Left community of supporters
Promotion: Jump left will promote your studio and your artist’s work
Exhibition Opportunity: Show and sell your artist’s work at Jump Left in April 2026
Exhibition Fee: Exhibition fee will be determined once the artist list is confirmed
Artwork Sales: Payments for sales to studios and artists will be made at the conclusion of the exhibition
Successful Artist Requirements
Submit an application via email and include:
Studio description + exhibition abstract including how the artworks will be presented e.g. framed, on plinths (no more than 2 pages)
List of participating artists (+ short artist CVs or bios where possible)
Number and type of proposed artworks e.g. works on paper, sculpture etc
3-5 images + image details of key artworks for promotional purposes
Have artwork available for the month of April for a group exhibition
Delivery of artwork is the responsibility of the studio to and from Jump Left
Framed work needs to be of a professional standard
Participate in the group exhibition for its full duration
Maintain respectful and professional conduct throughout the process
Notify Jump Left of access requirements ahead of time
Access & Inclusion
We work closely with each studio and its artists to understand their aspirations and needs, providing flexible support that makes genuine participation possible. Jump Left welcomes applications from supported studios working with artists with diverse perspectives and lived experiences, including those who navigate the world through unique cognitive, sensory and physical experiences. We provide an accessible venue, mentoring support and whatever additional arrangements are needed. As specialists in inclusive arts practice, we know that diverse voices make contemporary art stronger.
Studio Exhibition
The successful studio will be featured at Jump Left in April 2026. This opportunity will suit studios who have a group exhibition of a high standard who are ready to exhibit.
When: April 2026 (dates and launch details pending)
Where: Jump Left Gallery Space
Sales: Jump Left will sell artists work with 40% commission to Jump Left (split with the studio)
Promotion: We will photograph your work and the install to promote the show, always with full artist and studio credit
