SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Cost: Free. There is no cost to enter our Open Call exhibition.

  • Artists: Open to self-taught, neurodivergent artists and artists with disability living in Australia.

  • Entries: Artwork must be original and created by the artist listed as making the submission.

  • Number of Submissions: Artists can enter once and submit up to two artworks for consideration when they enter.

  • Medium: Artworks can be on canvas, paper, wood (other 2D medium), or a sculpture.

  • Size: Artworks cannot exceed A2 in size (42 × 59.4 cm) per artwork.

  • Prints: Please provide the edition number if submitting a print (e.g. 1 of 5)

  • Submission Details: Artwork details and images must be submitted via the form below.

  • Incomplete Entries: Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Artwork Selection: Entries will be reviewed and the final artists and artworks will be selected by Jump Left.

  • Decision: Selection decisions are final.

  • Successful Entries: If successful, one or both artworks submitted may be selected.

DELIVERY & INSTALLATION

  • Delivery Date: Artworks may be delivered by post or dropped off in person during opening hours and by 4pm Friday 21 November 2025.

  • Delivery Cost: Artists are responsible for the cost of delivering their work and collecting unsold artwork.

  • Install: Artworks must be delivered ready to install e.g. framed, d-rings, wire, or tabs attached.

  • Right to refuse: Jump Left reserves the right to refuse artwork that arrives damaged, not installation-ready, or differs significantly from submitted images.

INSURANCE & LIABILITY

  • Insurance: Jump Left carries public liability insurance only. Artists are responsible for insuring their own artworks against loss, theft, or damage, or exhibit at their own risk. Jump Left will take all reasonable care when handling, installing, and exhibiting artwork but is not liable for loss or damage to artworks.

SALES & PAYMENT

  • Pricing: Artists must provide a sale price (inc. GST where applicable) at time of entry.

  • Sales: All sales will be processed by Jump Left. Artists are responsible for their own GST registration and tax obligations.

  • Commission: If an artwork sells, 60% commission goes to the artist and 40% to Jump Left.

  • Representation: If represented by a gallery or supported studio the artist must let us know and Jump Left will split its commission (20%/20%).

  • Bank Details: Payments will be made by bank transfer and bank details must be provided on entry. Privacy is taken seriously and bank details will be stored in a safe place and deleted at the conclusion of the exhibition.

  • Payment: Artists will be paid within 14 days of the conclusion of the exhibition for sold work.

OWNERSHIP & RIGHTS

  • Copyright: Artists retain copyright of their work.

  • Ownership: Artists own their artwork until sold.

  • Image Use: By entering, artists consent to Jump Left photographing and reproducing images of their work for promotional and archival purposes, with artist credit.

COLLECTION & WITHDRAWAL

  • Unsold work not collected: Artwork not collected by 31 March 2026, following Jump Left making every effort to contact the artist via the phone and email supplied, will be disposed of.

  • Artist withdrawal: Artists who withdraw after selection must notify Jump Left as soon as possible. Late withdrawals may affect future participation.

GENERAL

  • Force Majeure: Jump Left reserves the right to postpone or cancel the exhibition due to circumstances beyond our control. Artists will be notified as soon as possible.

KEY DATES, OPENING & EXHIBITION DETAILS

  • Entry Deadline: Entries close 5pm Thursday 13 November 2025 via the form below.

  • Artists Notified: Artists will be notified of their entry outcome by 11.59pm Friday 14 November 2025.

  • Artwork Delivery: From Saturday 15 November until 4pm Friday 21 November 2025.
    * Jump Left is open Tuesday to Friday 11am - 4pm, and Saturday 11am - 3pm

  • Opening: 2pm-4pm Saturday 6 December at Jump Left, 673 Bourke Street Naarm/Melbourne.

  • Exhibition: 6 December 2025—24 January 2026, Jump Left, 673 Bourke Street Naarm/Melbourne.

  • Unsold Artwork Collection: Tuesday 3 February until Saturday 21 February 2026. 
    * Jump Left is open Tuesday to Friday 11am - 4pm, and Saturday 11am - 3pm
