Artist Talk

Join us Saturday 26 July from 1-2pm for an informal artist talk ahead of the CONVERGENCE exhibition launch event.

Exhibition artists will be in conversation with the curator and regional supported studio staff.

This discussion will give audiences special insights into the artworks, artists' processes, and the studios that support them.

Coinciding with Open House Melbourne | Free and open to all | RSVPs essential.

Join us after for the opening celebration for CONVERGENCE: Regional Perspectives, Saturday 26 July, from 2-4pm.

This diverse exhibition brings together distinctive artistic voices from regional supported studios in Victoria and Albury-Wodonga.

CONVERGENCE challenges metropolitan-centric narratives by platforming creators whose geographical distance from cultural centres limits broader arts connections and opportunities. The exhibition features work by seven emerging and mid-career artists whose differing perspectives offer fresh insights into contemporary themes and regional experiences.

Artists featured include Helen Butcher and Jess Madden (ArtGusto), Stella Childs (The Art Factory Albury), Housecat (Find Your Voice Collective), Stephen Hancock and Alex McKenzie (Artmania), and George Macaronis (Studio 92).
