2025-2026 Artists in Residence
Call for Applications
Jump Left helps diverse artists by providing opportunities to make art, exhibit and grow. Our Artist in Residence program provides time, space, and materials for artists to create new work, culminating in a group exhibition to showcase the work that residents and their peers have created during their residency.
ARTIST RESIDENCY
We welcome diverse artists, including people with disabilities, people from different cultural backgrounds, First Nations people, and people from regional areas. If you need support to participate, we'll work together to help you succeed.
Who Can Apply
We have four Artist Residencies available:
Invitational Artist Residency
We are excited to announce the Inaugural 2025 Invitational Artist in Residence has been awarded to Rosie O’Brien! Rosie is an emerging artist based in Naarm, Melbourne, who recently completed an artist residency at Australian Tapestry Workshop. She is represented by Arts Project Australia.
2 x Open Call - Diverse Artist Residencies
Open to artists from all backgrounds who identify as part of diverse communities, including people with disabilities, neurodivergent artists, First Nations people, culturally and linguistically diverse artists, and LGBTQIA+ artists. This residency celebrates the richness that different perspectives bring to contemporary art practice.
Open Call - Regional Artist Residency
Designed for artists based outside metropolitan Melbourne, this residency provides regional artists with access to urban studio facilities, professional development opportunities, and connections to Melbourne's vibrant arts community. Jump Left is located a few minutes from Southern Cross train station, providing easy access from the regions. *NB: Travel and accommodation support may be available, talk to us before applying.
